Dairy farms
Every litre accounted for, from cow to buyer
Record milk per cow or per pen, follow it through the tank to each buyer, price it on fat and SNF, and see which cows really pay their way.

The challenge
What gets in the way
Milk goes missing between cow and buyer
Without tank and dispatch records, losses, spills and own use are never reconciled.
Buyer payments are hard to check
Rates change, fat and SNF vary, and statements rarely match the farm's own figures.
Low yielders and mastitis hide in the herd
Without per-cow records, it's hard to see which cows drop in yield or need attention.
How FarmoraX helps
Your workflow, step by step
-
Record milkings your way
Enter milk per cow on a quick sheet, or as one total for a pen that isn't measured per cow — morning and evening, with noon if you milk three times.
- Per-cow entry by group, lot or label
- Group totals shared across the milking cows
- Litres or kg — your choice
-
Tank in, dispatch out
Milk goes into the bulk tank; dispatches to buyers record litres, fat %, SNF % and any rejected milk.
- Several tanks if you need them
- Losses and own use recorded
- Tank level always visible
-
Price on quality, settle with buyers
Buyer rates keep their history and can adjust on fat and SNF. Milk sales post to the accounts automatically, with a statement per buyer.
- Rates by date per buyer
- Amounts received and owed
- Milk income per cow
-
Look after every cow
Lactations start at calving and track days in milk, peak and 305-day yield. CMT/SCC tests and milk withdrawal after treatment are flagged.
- Dry-off due list
- Mastitis checks per quarter
- Income over feed cost

Common questions
Do I have to record milk for every cow?
No. You can record per cow, or enter one total for a group that isn't measured individually — the total is shared equally across its milking cows for per-cow reports.
Can milk be priced on fat and SNF?
Yes. Each buyer has rates with a date history, optionally adjusted from a standard fat % and SNF %. Dispatches record the fat and SNF of each delivery.
Does it connect with breeding?
Yes. A calving recorded in Breeding starts a new lactation, and the dairy and breeding modules can both be switched on for the same farm.
