Buy right, feed right, sell at the right weight

From the market lot to the sale invoice, FarmoraX tracks every animal's weight and cost — so you know which lots, pens and rations make money.

The challenge

What gets in the way

Costs are spread across notebooks

Purchase price, transport, brokerage, feed and medicines are recorded in different places, so nobody knows the real cost of an animal.

Slow growers stay hidden

Without regular weights, an animal can eat for weeks without gaining before anyone notices.

Selling is guesswork

It's hard to judge when a lot has reached the best sale weight — or whether it made a profit at all.

How FarmoraX helps

Your workflow, step by step

  1. Record the market purchase as a lot

Enter the lot once with its price and extra costs; FarmoraX splits them across the animals by weight and gives each one a tag.

    • Every animal recorded individually, with teeth, condition and photo
    • Price, transport, brokerage and other costs split by weight
    • Photos and receipts kept with the lot
  2. Feed to a plan, by pen

Set up a phased ration — or start from a template — and record feeding each day. Each animal's share of the feed cost is added to it.

    • Fixed kg per head or a percentage of body weight
    • Feed stock per farm with days of feed left
    • Feed cost per kg gained
  3. Weigh, compare, act

Weigh a pen in one session. Daily gain is compared with the minimum line you set, and animals below it are flagged.

    • Scale, tape or estimated weights
    • Target weights with projected dates
    • Ready-to-sell and below-the-line lists
  4. Sell and see profit

Create a sale invoice per kg or per head — the animals are marked sold, the books are updated and profit shows by animal, lot and pen.

    • Withdrawal-period warnings before sale
    • Buyer balances and statements
    • Profit by lot, group and label

Common questions

Can I record a whole market lot at once?

Yes. Enter the lot details and costs once, then add the animals in quick rows with weight, sex, teeth, ear tag and colour. Defaults can be applied to all animals in one go.

How are lot costs shared between animals?

Price and extra costs such as transport and brokerage are split across the animals in the lot by their purchase weight, so heavier animals carry more of the cost.

Can I weigh without a scale?

Yes. Weights can be recorded from a scale, from a measuring tape (girth and length) or as an estimate, and the method is kept with each weighing.
